Book Holders and Other Supports for Reading

Can't hold a book or turn a page? There are many Low Tech and High Tech AT tools that support reading.

Book Holders are a place to start.

Book holders can be useful for people who want to read text on paper, but have weakness that prevents them from holding a book. People with vision needs may see the text more easily if the page is an upright position. Very often people who use a book holder will have better viewing with an added clip-on light or desk lamp.

Robert's Book Holder is a straight forward table-top book holder with pegs that adjust to the size of the book to prevent sliding.

Levo makes an adjustable floor model book stand for its book holder. It can be used in any position: seated, standing, or lying down. They also have a desk model.
